Be a part of the Team!  
Eagan's July 4th Funfest is Eagan's largest annual event attracting thousands of guests each year. This Fourth of July celebration continues to be a huge success through the hard work and dedication of city staff and volunteers. Volunteer help is an important component of the event's success. We appreciate all services, and we'll continue to make your volunteer time rewarding and fun!

Parade

  • Parade lineup crew needed to cordinate floats and units prior to the start of the parade.
  • Parade marshals needed along the parade route to help ensure candy is not being thrown from floats (candy must be distributed by individuals walking along the side of the parade). They will aslo keep the parade moving - pacing is critical!
  • Parade dispersal at the end of the parade. Hand out water to parade participants. Ensure traffic flow at the end of the parade is running smoothly.

Information Booth

  • Provide general information regarding the festivities. 

Traffic and Parking

  • Traffic flaggers for cars leaving the Eagan Community Center during the parade.
  • Parking flaggers before the parade and during Eagan's July 4th Funfest event.

Judging

  • Judge hosts are needed in the parade judging booth to answer questions and to tally scores following the parade.
  • Judges are needed to score parade floats and units based on several different categories.

Entertainment Hosts

  • Emcee to announce stage entertainment and to ensure stage timing is running smoothly.
  • Sound & Lighting
